Recital Program Policies

  • DEBE dancers are expected to be in their classes unless there is a serious illness or family situation.  If your child will not be in class, an email must be sent to info@danceexpressionsbyerica.com with Absence in subject.  A reason for your child missing class, as it will be marked excused or unexcused.  After 3 unexcused absences, your child will be obligated to take a private lesson to get caught up. Please make every effort to have your child in every class.  There are no refunds for missing classes.
  • Students should arrive 10 minutes prior to their first class, prepared to dance.
  • Parents are invited to observe classes through viewing windows.
  • No parents are permitted in the dance studios.
  • If there are any cancellations due to weather conditions, etc. you can find this information on the website, on the facebook page & in your email.  Make up classes will be sent via email at a later date.
  • No smoking inside or near the building.
  • No food or drink permitted in the dance studios.
  • No gum chewing in the facility.
  • No street shoes permitted on the dance floors.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the dance studios during class time.  Restrooms should be used in between classes.
  • The Dress Code must be followed in every class. All dancers must wear dancewear, which is limited to leotards, tights, dance shorts, sports bras & leggings. Hair must be pulled back off face and neck. No street clothes or loose jewelry.
  • Proper shoes must be worn for each class. Please check with front desk for shoe requirements.
  • Students and parents are not to touch any dance equipment unless authorized by instructor.
  • Any damage to mirrors, barres, mats or sound system will result in a fine.
  • Absolutely no running or rough play.
  • No cell phones allowed in dance studios.  Please keep all electronic devices in dance bag unless approved usage by a faculty member.
  • DEBE is not responsible for any items left at the studio.  Items left behind are collected each night and placed into the lost & found.  If they are not claimed by the end of the month, they will be given away.
  • If you are registered as a Teeny Tiny Tot, Tiny Tot, Dudes Hip Hop, Musical Theater I or II, Level III, IV or V dancer, you will be expected to perform in the end of the year recital. No exceptions!
  • All DEBE members must have an email address on file to receive important information.
  • All DEBE dancers and parents are expected to behave and respect the faculty, dancers and their parents at all times.
  • The DEBE faculty has your child’s best interest at heart.  We will place your dancer in the appropriate class level based on their age and ability.
  • Please do not take an instructor away from their students and class times by insisting on asking questions or discussing certain issues.  We run a very tight schedule.  All emergencies and/or questions should be brought to the attention of the office staff.   They will pass on all information to instructors and Ms. Erica.
  • Communication is key to a successful season.  If you have any questions or concerns, contact Ms. Erica immediately via email or take your matters to the front desk.  Do not hesitate!  We will do our best to resolve any problems that may arise throughout the season.  We are here to ensure your experience at DEBE is a great one!
