*Lori and I (Erica) will be in Austin February 2nd-7th for Studio Owner University with their MTJGD Tribe. SOU is a university-styled training course to revolutionize the dance studio industry. We can't wait to fully immerse ourselves in this week of learning, growing and inspiration. We are thrilled to be a part of such an outstanding event that provides a life-changing experience for studio owners around the world.
Evenings with Miss Erica
In preparation for our many upcoming events, I have planned a few evenings throughout the remainder of the season where our dance parents can join me for a Q&A about all things dance! Kindly RSVP via our Facebook event so we can plan accordingly. Our first Evening with Miss E will be on February 13th 5-6pm in the downstairs lobby.
Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent and a Facebook post made by 2:00pm if classes are cancelled. Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closings as roads are often cleared by the time studio classes begin. Any cancelled classes will be made up at a later date, most likely over Spring Break.
Absence Reporting
If your dancer will be absent from a class, our teachers and administrative staff greatly appreciate you notifying our team via email or phone.
Showcase
We are all in Showcase mode!!!! At this point, dancers should have their costumes, photo shoot specs, and all dances should be started (some are even wrapping up)! All routines are to be finished by March, giving our fabulous dancers two full months to perfect before the BIG DAY! There is a stage rehearsal at Norwin High School on June 4th where all of our dancers will have the chance to work through any technical issues before show day on June 6th. This stage rehearsal is not a dress rehearsal, so costumes are not needed. We consider our photo shoot "dress rehearsal" and trust that everyone will have the proper shoes, tights, hair and make up on show day! We take pride in our uniformed and professional look on stage. We will have two shows on our show day - a Matinee and an Evening show. This line up will be posted in the Spring once we have our annual meeting regarding logistics with the tech and stage crew at Norwin. Please be sure to ask any questions regarding these two days that our dancers work so hard for all season long! We want them to feel like the STARS they were born to be!!
